I love pie!

I am making oatmeal and pecan pies, one a piece. The recipe is very high in sugars and calories, so I only make it about once or twice a year. It's worth every bite!

You need a pie shell and to preheat your oven to 350 degrees.

Combine 2 eggs, 2/3 cup of sugar, 2/3 cup of Karo syrup, teaspoon of vanilla, 2/3 cup of melted butter, and a cup of oatmeal or pecans, whichever you prefer. Mix it altogether and fill the pie shell. The recipe is for only one pie.

My grandma gave me this recipe years ago, and I found heaven in a single slice, though I've been known to eat an entire pie in 2-3 days. Oh, and also hide them for myself. :)

Mmmmm.......almost done. Cooks for 45 minutes or until firm.
